Foresight Senior Associate
Pledges Matching Grant
Thanks to Foresight's generous supporters, the
terms of the challenge grant were met by January 10. Additional
donations are welcome and will provide added funds to help
Foresight meet the increasing challenges of preparing for
nanotechnology at a time when progress towards nanotechnology is
rapidly accelerating on all fronts. Many thanks to all who
contributed.
$45,000 Challenge Grant
Matching donations needed by 31 January
One of our Senior Associates has stepped up to the plate again
this year with a two-for-one $45,000 challenge grant to
Foresight. This offer was originally set to expire on December
31, but because members will be hearing about it quite late, we
have been able to negotiate an extension to the end of January.
This means that for every new dollar pledged by January 31,
Foresight will receive two more, thereby tripling
your donation.
Qualifying as matching funds are:
In the U.S. donors can achieve maximum tax benefits by making
their donations before Dec. 31, 1997, since they will be able to
take the deduction against 1997 income taxes instead of waiting a
year.
