&lt;p&gt;It is so interesting that the ETC group is advancing the concept of &quot;liability&quot;. Given that the delay in development of nanotechnology (particularly in the nanomedical aspects) is going to cost us about 100,000 lives a day (so for every day the ETC group or politicians delay the development of robust nanotechnology it costs humanity 100,000 lives) it would be highly interesting to see what the ETC group&#039;s insurance companies are quoting them for rates with respect to wrongful death claims.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Watch carefully for the first &quot;wrongful death&quot; suit associated with delaying the development of nanotechnology. While there may be hazards associated with the development of nanotechnology, as there may be with the development of any new technology, the costs of *NOT* developing such technology are clear though many may stick their heads in the sand and refuse to recognize them.&lt;/p&gt;
