		<description>Note that they say &quot;Government Funding&quot;, and nothing about their own budgets. I&#039;m sure they will be very happy to let the goverment do the safety work for them, leaving them free to take the lead (and the profits).</description>

		<description>I have advocated this exact approach verbally and in writing for over a year.  I applaud Dupont for this initiative. I would however add one more detail.  I would like every manufacturer of nanotechnology based products voluntarily to include with every product offering or batch, a detailed description of the environmental and toxocological testing the product has undergone with results.  Openness will lead to acceptance by the general public. Otherwise, mythology will reign.  Nanotech will affect everything we know in positive ways. The entire industry has the responsibility for assuring the public that products are safe for human use and for the environment in which we live.</description>
