		<description>It seems to me nanotech research is too narrow in scope. I would like to see more concerted efforts to practical goals. For example, the current push is to find alternatives to gasoline powered vehicles. Of course, I&#039;ve seen a little research in that area in bits and pieces, but not in terms of the entire vehicle. The weight and durability of the entire car and its parts need to be taken into consideration -- not just a part of a fuel cell or material to contain hydrogen.

When organizations get together, that is the kind of thing I would like to see discussed. While faster computers are a desirable thing to have, I believe a shift in the way we look at things is necessary. If, for example, you consider our dependence on oil as a national security issue, then it seems to me it&#039;s imperative we find solutions.</description>
