Considering the Israeli people's talent for drastically enhancing capabilities of existing weapons systems and/or creating new systems, it will be surprising if they don't excel in multiple fields of nanotechnology.
Naturally, the political implications could be dramatic. This is one circumstance where adversaries of Israel stand to gain an overwhelming advantage should they achieve a certain level of nanotechnology before Israel does. An investment/achievements comparison between Israel and existing/potential adversaries would be interesting to see. Per dollar spent, I suspect the Israelis will have a higher rate of achievement.
