		<description>This is very good.  One problem however is that this does not appear to affect circulating cancer cells since it targets tumors through the leaky blood vessels.  Unless the circulating cells are eradicated you have the problem of these cells finding a perch somewhere else in the body to form new tumors.  But it is a great result they are reporting that we are becoming able to manipulate the surface of particles in such a way that we can get very high concentrations selectively into tumors.

This is like moving from dumb bombs to something much closer to a JDAMs.  Now we need some patriot missiles to knock down the circulating cells.  One method that makes sense if the technology develops might be the blood circulation filtering machine - something like a dialysis machine that instead of removing waste selectively removes cancer cells.

If you&#039;re someone who reads about subjects like this, keep thinking because I think we are getting close enough for someone to have a big idea, maybe even someone who isn&#039;t an expert in either molecular biology of cancer or nanotechnology.  There are many pathways that can be targeted in cancer cells and there are many ways nanotechnology techniques being developed for many different applications.  The people who work on this professionally are doing all they can but can&#039;t hurt to have an extra set of eyes on it.</description>
