I do believe that Feb 2005-Dec 2008 was a Nanotech depression that few people noticed, due to the lack of publicly traded Nanotech companies. But when a major research report just stops publishing, and no major magazine does a cover feature on Nanotech for 4 years, that is a pretty substantial dropoff.
