&lt;p&gt;Actually, the severing of heads and reattaching it to another body has already been done before - I remember reading somewhere about a scientist who decapitated the heads of two mice and attached the heads to each corresponding body; unfortunately, the test experiements lived only a few hours.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Seems like we should do whatever it takes to stay on the leading edge, even if it requires amassing huge amounts of debt. The eventual payoff should be enormous for all sectors. ... Anyone think it would be possible to perfectly sever someone&#039;s head from their body after vitrification, then re-attach their head to another body, namely a clone of themselves minus the head? Would this require heavy MNT? Can we manage to keep someone alive longer with this method?&lt;/p&gt;
