Scientists Find Technique for Growing Teeth in Lab
from the Cultured-Pearly-Whites dept.
Ryan writes "Scientists have found a way to grow teeth in the lab. The Boston Globe has the story on how 'the work raises the possibility that dentists of the future could dispense with mechanical implants – such as dentures, bridges, and crowns – and literally grow new teeth for patients on demand.'"

Yippee!
I, the possessor of 2 crowns, 9 fillings and a root canal (Because of this I have been shamed into taking very good care of his teeth and gums.), am really looking forward to this becoming common dental practice!

Me Too!
Um, countless fillings, several root canals, even lost one due to openning bottles (shutter) when I was a lunatic, errr, kid.

I dought that this will ever be affordible to the regular people, like you and me. If you can put a man on the moon I don’t think a tooth is to much to ask for. I feel like America is so far behind when it come’s to the technology used today. It saddenes me so. We should of looked toward the stars and never looked back.
