Pathway to Molecular Manufacturing
Robert A. Freitas Jr. has announced the release of his report on a Pathway to Diamond-Based Molecular Manufacturing. This documents a possible path to diamondoid mechanosynthesis. The background academic work and studies involved a number of scientists at Zyvex who have filed for a provisional patent on the process.
This is a shortened version of his presentation at the First Foresight Conference on Advanced Nanotechnology in October 2004. Anyone who is seriously interested in the mechanosynthesis path to nanotechnology who did not attend the conference should read this document

Link color
This is offtopic, but I'm not sure where else to put it. Could whoever runs this site please change the color of the links in the stories? At least for me it's impossible to tell where the actual links are in stories because they are exactly the same color as the text itself. Thanks.

Re:Link color
If the text is underlined it is almost always a link. (I'm using Netscape 4.79.) I believe most modern browsers allow you to change your preferences for the colors of unvisited links, visited links, text, etc. At least Netscape and IE both do. (Though I'm not trying to promote IE for security reasons.)
